Indeterminate pole lima with white flowers. Slightly curved pods 2.75-3.15 inches long and 0.6-0.7 inches wide. Shattering type pods with 2-3 seeds. Medium to large seeds are very flat and very dark red to maroon. Slightly astringent taste. Tends to be hard seeded. Very late maturing and high productivity when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. Donated to SSE by William Woys Weaver (PA WE W) who acquired this variety in 1994 from Southern Exposure Seed Exchange (CV So1). Weaver states it's primarily used as a dry bean and dates to pre-1820.
