SWEET
Sweet pimento pepper. Small, slightly flattened, red fruit. Thick walled. Placenta and seeds fill up most of fruit cavity. A good stuffing pepper. Moderately sweet. Fruit 1" long, 1.5-2" wide. Sparely branched plants up to 2' tall. Brix 8.0. Mid season maturity. Average productivity when grown at Heritage Farm in 2018. Capsicum annuum. This variety was donated to SSE circa 2006 by SSE member William Woys Weaver (PA WE W). He described it as an old, Pennsylvania Dutch pepper used for stuffing and pickling which was part of his grandfather H.R. Weaver's seed sollection and thus dates to pre-1940. SSE Accession # 118211
