Davis White

A very good green bean. Juicy, nearly stringless, and flavorful. Pods are green, round, slight curved at the tip, and 5-6" long. White, oval-shaped seeds, 7-9 per pod. Variety experienced some outcrossing in the past and black seeds may make an appearance. These should be rogued. Mid-season maturing. Moderately productive. Half-runner habit. This accession was donated to SSE by Glenn Drowns. He indicated that he first got this variety in the 1970’s when he was 8 years old from his Uncle Stan who had grown it since the 1950’s.
