SNAP-POLE
Green snap bean. Strongly climbing pole bean. Slightly curved pods. Strong suture string. Fruity flavor; slightly tough and not particularly juicy. Pods measure 3-4" long. Pods grow in clusters and are very easy to pick. Yellow mature pods. Non-pigmented plants. White flowers. Strongly contracted dry pods. Small, white cuboid seeds. 6-9 seeds per pod. Highly productive when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE in 2004 by James England who began growing this variety in the mid 1970s. It was given to him by a woman in Claiborne County, Tennessee by name of Lambert who lived along the Powell River. It had been grown by her family for two generations. SSE Accession # 105716
