Colossus

Large pods and seeds, as the name suggests. Pods are green and become yellow with a red blush at maturity. Pods measure 7-8" long and contain 12-18 large, buff-colored, crowder-type seeds with squared ends. Smooth, meaty texture with nice flavor. Plants are vigorous and sprawling. Violet flowers. Medium productivity when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. Mid-season maturing. Donated to SSE by Christopher Inhulsen (GA IN C) who received it in 1997 from the South Carolina Foundation Seed Association (CV Scf). SSE Accession # 109066
