Single Image
VEGETABLES / TOMATO
PINK-PURPLE
Large, pink cherry tomato. Slightly oblong shape. Fruit average 1.5" in length, 1oz. Bland, mealy, soft, and juicy when grown in 2024 at Heritage Farm. Indeterminate growth habit, regular leaves, and inserted flower stigmas. Highly productive. Jean Patten (KS PA J) of Mulvane, Kansas donated this variety to SSE in the early 1980s. At that time, Jean had grown and saved seed from this heirloom tomato for at least 20 years and noted that most of the gardeners she knows also grow this variety. Jean originally received it from Mrs. Jesse MacKay of Rose Hill, KS. Mrs. MacKay acquired the variety from her father-in-law, who grew it for many years. SSE Accession # 121611
