VEGETABLES / TOMATO
RED
Named for the singer Boxcar Willie of the Grand Ole Opry, whose real name was Lecil Travis Martin. A New Jersey tomato variety by Joe Bratka's father. Slightly flattened fruits yield abundant crops of 10-16 ounce, bright-orange-red slicer tomatoes. The flavor is sweet with a nice balance of acid. Great for all culinary purposes. Regular leaves, indeterminate. About 80 days to maturity after transplanting.
