Anderson Roman

Indeterminate, large, pink beefsteak tomato that matures mid-season and is slightly underproductive. Flavor is average, moderately sweet and moderately acidic with a meaty, slightly dry texture. Fruits have a thin skin, are fasciated and are highly ribbed at the stem end. They measure 2.5-4 inches long by 3.5-4.5 inches wide and weigh 8.5-22.5 ounces. When grown in 2020 trials at HF the fruits had a BRIX of 5.9 and were highly prone to splitting and cracking and need to be picked immediately when ripe. Plants are 5-5.5 ft tall, have dense foliage and bear 1-2 fruit per cluster. SSE Accession # 123379
