Somewhat large white sugar beet. Roots bicolored white with green shoulders. Elliptic to triangular shaped roots 6-9" long, 2.5-4" at the widest point, and weigh 7-17 oz. Roots are semi-smooth and have medium depth grooves. Green leaves with yellowish petioles. Roots typically at medium depth in soil. Rated highly for sweetness in the 2015 Seed Savers taste evaluation. BRIX score: 14.4. Given to SSE by Will Bonsall (ME BO W) who received the variety from Donald Branscomb (CA BR D).
