Flat Wax

Wax bean, bush habit. Pods are 3-5" long and 0.75" wide. They don't stay in the snap stage very long, so harvest them quickly! Beans have old-timey flavor and texture. (Good flavor but on the tougher, starchier side.) Early maturing. White flowers. Medium-low productivity. 3-6 seeds per pod. Beautiful seeds are white with light and dark brown mottling around the eye, about 0.4" long, similar to soldier beans. SSE Accession # 102509
