Ruby Giant

Medium-sized, 4-lobed, red bell pepper. Fruit are crunchy, juicy and sweet with good flavor. Rather tough skin. 3-3.5 inches long, 3 inches wide at maturity. Ripens from green to red. Most ripe fruit in 2019 planting at Heritage Farm had some green splotches. Brix 8.0. Medium-low productivity when grown in the cool summer of 2019. Fruit were late maturing, likely due in part to the cool summer. Plants 2-2.5 feet tall. Dark green leaves. Good leaf cover. SSE Accession # 116783
