Holmes Mexican

Medium-sized, flattened, highly ribbed, pink tomato. High acid, sweet. Flesh dark pink. Fruit 2-3" long, 3.25" wide, 5-10ozs. 3-6 fruit per cluster. No cracking. Brix score of 5.0. Indeterminate with dense foliage. Midseason. Medium-high productivity. Regular leaves. SSE acquired this variety in 2015 when Gary Staley’s seed collection was sent to Heritage Farm after he passed away. This variety has been popular in SSE Yearbook Exchange ever since Glenn Drowns first listed it in 1986. Glenn got his seeds from Gary in 1983, and there is some suggestion that it was originally a Ben Quisenberry variety, though SSE staff have been unable to definitively confirm this.
