This is a pole bean best eaten dry. This shelling bean is tasty, cooks well, and is a good producer. The pods are large, measuring 6" long and containing 5-6 seeds per pod. The plants are vigerous and grow up to 5-6' tall. Good producer. Early maturing. Grown by Daniel Ramsch in 2021 for the Collection Documentation Project. He evaluated the variety as "very good." Donated to SSE in the early 1980s by Russ Crow (IL CR R) who received this variety from Lurland Profitt (WV PR L). SSE Accession # 101926
