Elongate fruit are purple-black, curved, and have very few prickles. Market mature fruit up to 11" long, 1.65-2.75" wide, and weigh up to 14.5 oz. Fruits have greenish colored flesh. Seed mature fruit are the same size as market mature fruit, but are yellow-brown in color. Purple flowers. Plants 21.5-25" tall have purple flowers and green leaves with dark violet petioles. Spines are present on the branches. Mid-season maturity and moderate yielding when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Fairly decent variety that ranked moderate for overall taste in 2015 Seed Savers taste evaluation. SSE Accession # 109487
