Pole/Lima. 106 days to first dry pods. Large pods and seeds like Christmas. Very productive plants with heavy pod set. Seeds are maroon and white heavily splashed on one end. First discovered and named by John Hartman (IN HA J) of Indianapolis, Indiana in the early 1980's as an outcross or mutation in "Christmas" lima. First listing in the SSE yearbook by John Hartman in 1987. Traded among SSE members in the late 1980's and in the 90's up to 1996 then suddenly disappeared. Upon the passing of SSE member Tom Knoche of Sardinia, Ohio in 2013. Curt Burroughs of Memphis, Missouri and his friend Glenn Drowns of Sandhill Prevervation Center discovered the seed of Rosiclare in Tom's freezer seed collection.
