VEGETABLES / CORN
FLOUR
This dent corn is named after C.S. Looney of Winchester, TN. I grew it on bottom ground in Blount County, TN and it produced 8-12 ft stalks with 1-2 ears per. The ears are 16-18 row with many at 10-12in. I received this seed from an original steward, Jeff Swan, of Sparta, TN. He received from a local feller that had been growing it for some time. That gentleman told him to give it a good 4ft between rows and to thin to 12 1ft in row. There is literature that claims it made the best cornbread around. It also make wonderful tortillas.
