Wilbur Field Pumpkin

C. pepo. Pumpkin type. Round to oblong, orange fruit. Some smooth, others somewhat warty. Lightly furrowed. Average 11.5" long and wide and weighed 12.8-24.3lbs in 2023. Flesh is 1" or thicker. Vining plants. Leaves distinctly lobed; silvering weak to absent. Pretty tasty for a carving pumpkin! Flesh is sweet and firm with notes of brown sugar. Moderately productive when grown in 2023 at Heritage Farm. Donated to SSE in 1983 by the late Tom Knoche (OH KN T). SSE Accession # 120177
