S. melongena. Good flavor, sweet. Very uniform medium sized, dark purple fruit. Slightly curved, elongate fruit shape. Fruit born singly. Few seeds. Creamy yellow flesh. Fruit measure 5-8" long, 1.6-2.3" wide, and weigh 4-9oz. Golden seed mature fruit. Upright plants have purple nodes and are moderately branched. Plants measure 1.7-2.7' tall. Some lodging. Large, dark green, weakly lobed leaves. Light purple flowers. Mid season maturity. Moderate to low productivity when grown at Heritage Farm in 2018. SSE Accession # 109489
