Regina di Maggio

Small red-green butterhead that forms cirular, moderately developed and moderately solid heads at maturity. Leaves are pale green with moderate blistering and some curliness on the edges. Flavor is mild but slightly sweet with some bitterness and a tender, crunchy and buttery texture. Mature plants are between 6.5-11.5 inches wide and 4-5 inches high. Fairly uniform in 2020 when it was grown at Heritage Farm, matures mid season and is not very cold tolerant but bolts late. SSE Accession # 111534
