Swiss Landfrauen

Pole snap bean. Seeds cream wtih chocolate brown streaks, (3/8"-5/8")x(3/16"-1/4") slightly curved. Amishland claims to be the only US seller of the beans, which they say taste exquisite. May be same as Berner Landfrauen bean. IL CR R lists a Landfrauen with charcoal black speckles and streaks on tan. Richard Schoolmaster classified this as a dry bean, Amishland as a snap. .In 2014, I got 2 oz 140 seeds (70/oz) from 8 plants not eaten by rabbits, 18X yield. Does best with rain or watering. 10 to 25 seeds from 2024. 3 year germination 100%, 5 year 80%, 7 year 20%.
