Grandpa Admire's

Butterhead. Obovate leaves yellow-green in color with reddish-brown coloring, moderate blistering, and a moderately wavy and slightly toothed margin. Leaves measure 6.7-9.5" long and 7.75-10.5" wide. Plants 7.5-9.5" tall and 12.5-18.5" in diameter. Head formation was variable in 2015. Some plants formed a solid, circular head, but others had no head formation. Average time to bolting when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Moderately sweet, and rather tender and moist. A very good lettuce well-liked by SSE staff in 2015. SSE Accession # 111428
