Sweet Valentine

Romaine. Forms a slight, loose, elliptic head. Plants 11.5-14" tall and 17-23" wide. Spatulate leaves are dark purple/red with slight green coloring. Leaves are highly blistered and measure 10-13.5" long and 7-8.75" wide. Black seeded. Later bolting when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Moderately sweet. Donated to SSE by Dan & Yvonne Johnson (CA JO Y) who acquired the variety from Ornamental Edibles (CV Orn). SSE Accession # 111900
