American Pawpaw

Seeds of "improved" varieties; will be sent in FALL only; the seed is notoriously short-lived. Fruits borne in clusters; ripens early Sept. here; tree prefers partial shade and plenty of water. Not to be confused with the Australian "PawPaw" or papaya, which is unrelated. These seeds are of mixed Susquehanna, Campbell's, and Overleese parentage; selected for large fruit and lack of "burnt" taste.
