Mostly prostrate vines, slight twining tendency. Extensive purple pigmentation on stems. White flowers with faint violet streaking. Immature pods are slighting curved, pendant, and have a purple suture and tip. Dry pods are solid purple. Mature pods average 7.2" long by 0.9" wide with 8-17 seeds per pod. Standard productivity. Rhomboid (crowded) seeds, cream-colored with a tan brown ring around hilum. Dry cowpeas have a standard flavor and hold their color during cooking. Mid-season maturing.
