Milan Rouge

Smooth magenta and cream roots lie mostly below the soil line. White flesh. Some variability in root shape. Roots measure 2.5-4" wide, 3-4" long, and weigh up to 1lb. Good texture, moderately sweet. Flavor with a hint of nuttiness and a bit of a bite. Leaves are green with light green to dark purple petioles. SSE Accession # 127635
