Glossy, lemon-yellow fruit. Highly pungent with an incredible lemon/citrus flavor. Lives up to its name in color and flavor. Fruit are elongated and furrowed with semi-wrinkled skin. Immature fruit are pale green. Mature fruit measure 2-3" long and 0.7" wide. Thin flesh. Plants are moderately branched and grew up to 3ft tall in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Highly productive. Mid to late season maturing. Capsicum baccatum. Donated to SSE by Craig Le Houllier (NC LE C) who received this variety from Dorothy Noble (PA NO D). This pepper is from the USDA collection (PI 315024). The USDA acquired in 1966 from the University of Georgia, but it was originally collected in Peru. SSE Accession # 117402
