Broomcorn. Tall plants up to 14 feet have 0-3 basal branches have brown colored grains. Plants tend to have a few tillers higher up on the stem. Actual brush lengths are almost 2 feet long. Grains are brown with brown glumes. Seeds are intermediate in size and elliptic in shape. Panicles have 400 to 1300 grains. Difficult to thresh. Mid-season to flower when grown in 2016 at Heritage Farm. Donated to SSE by Heather Apple (ONT AP H). This variety was developed by the late Professor Henry Hadley of the University of Illinois.
