Speckled Cranberry

Pole dry. MI SC R reports good yield in hot dry 2012 but I got only 2 oz (68 seeds) from 8 plants in ideal 2014. All matured in 120 days. Pretty pinkish-cream seed similar to Broughton Astley Polish Bean but lighter streaks. Variable proportions of cream and maroon, with some seeds half or (with cream speckles) mostly maroon. One pod contains all dark or all light seeds. Seeds 1/2x3/8x5/16", fat pods 3/4"x5/8" when dry. Said to have come from England around 1825 or 1850s. 3-year seed germinated 85%. 10 or more seeds from 2017, 2019, or 2020.
