Half runner, very productive even in part shade. Pods 4.5x1/2x3/8". Seeds 1/2x5/16x1/4" finely black speckled and striped over cream, overall medium grey appearance with light purplish tinge.. Rounded or slightly squared ends, black circle around hilum. Uniform size. 4' or longer vine, needs support to prevent rot and increase yield. Richard Schoolmaster labelled it "Brazilian Carioca" . Does not resemble the Bolivian Carioca or Brazilian Carioca images online (both tan striped). "From SSE 2012" OR ST A (2013) describes Brasilian Carioca as having blue and grey seeds. 95% 3-year germination. 2022 or 2023 seed.
