Dick's Italian Paste

Lage, long, pointed, red, pepper-shaped paste tomato with a fairly sweet flavor that is very low acid. Fruits are slightly hollow in the center and are not very juicy but would make a great paste. Fruits are 5.5-11.5 ounces, 4.5-6 inches long and 2-3 inches wide. Highly susceptible to blossom end rot. Plants are tall and wispy, indeterminate and late maturing with moderate to low productiity. Fruit ripen in clusters of 1-3. In 2020 trials at HF the plants grew between 4.5-5.5 ft and fruits had no cracking, little splitting and had a BRIX of 6.5. SSE Accession # 123719
