Willis Blue Grain

Plant avgs 10.7' tall with green stems and some red streaking, avg of 0-1 tillers per plant. Leaves pendant. Tassels have some secondary branching, avg 19" long. Long, large cylindrical-conical ears with creamy-white colored kernels and white cobs, avg 12-18 rows in a regular pattern. Ears avg 8.5" long, 1.8" wide. Ear set avgs 1-2 per plant. Kernels dent type, creamy-white colored, most with indented top and a few with rounded tops, standard size. 5% stalk, 15% root lodging when grown in 2011. Donated to SSE by Phillip Moore (MO MO P) who obtained it from MO WI M in 1990. SSE Accession # 108601
