C. maxima. Hubbard type. Fruit red-orange with peach colored stripes; acorn shaped; flattened to pointed ends; Smooth rind with some wrinkles. Fruit 5-8 long; 5-8 wide; 2-7lbs. Vining; leaves moderately lobed to entire; no silvering; rough pubescence. Dark orange flesh; 0.7-1.4 thick. Vaguely nutty flavor; smooth texture; slightly bitter. Average productivity; mid-season maturing when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. Originally introduced in 1926 by Gill Brothers of Oregon (Boston Marrow x Delicious). SSE Accession # 119821
