Emery's Spanish

Small, pink plum tomato. Indeterminate growth, regular leaves. Standard flavor. Moderately sweet and low acid. Thin skin. Blemish-free, uniform fruit. 5-10 fruit per cluster. Ripe fruit measure 1.5-1.8" long by 0.9-1.3" wide and weigh 0.4-0.8oz. Flower stigma level with anther cone. Average productivity. Early maturing. Donated to SSE by Dan Berger of Ohio who has grown this variety since 1977. It was grown by his father, Emery Berger, for as long as Dan can remember and is actually one of Dan's earliest childhood memories (circa 1961). Emery originally received the seeds from a now unknown gentleman and always called it the "Spanish tomato." SSE Accession # 131774
