This is a beautiful, wild, productive, delicious chiltepin originally from wild plants growing in Coahuila, Mexico. Produces abundant small, thin-skinned, juicy round chiles about 1cm diameter; fruit ripen green to deep red and are delicious at all stages. Medium hot, between a jalapeno and a serrano. Excellent for pickling, tossing in stews or soups or beans, and for drying to make chile flakes and powders. We were gifted a single fruit and have grown several strong and robust plants now in their second year. Perennial. Grows very well in containers. Limited amount of seed available.
