C annuum. Dark red sweet pepper variable in shape from triangular to bell. Crunchy, juicy, and moderately sweet. Medium-thick walls. Fruit measure 2.5-4.5" long, 2-3" wide, and weigh 2-4oz. Smooth skin. Green immature fruit. Fruit are born pendent to erect. Green ovate leaves. Plants measure 1.5-2' tall. White flowers. Moderately low productivity. Mid season maturing. Brix 6.8. An All-American Selection winner in 1952, this pepper was released circa 1949 by the Vineland Horticultural Experiment Station in Ontario, Canada. SSE Accession # 116120
