Armstrong Early Cluster

Market mature fruit green with yellow striping. Smooth skinned with slight ribbing and black spines. White flesh, round to angular in cross section. Market mature fruit measure 3.5-4.5" long, 1.5-2" wide, and weigh up to 6 oz. Orange seed mature fruit with 3-4 locules measure 4.5-5.5" long, 2.5-2.75" in diameter, and weigh 8.75-11.5 oz. Plants prostrate with hard leaf pubescence and distinct leaf lobing. Early maturing and high fruit set when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. Variety has very thick skin making it ideal for pickling.
