Erect, openly-branched plant. Elongated, broadly conic fruit that ripens from pale yellow to orange to red. Fruit average 5.4" long, 2.4" wide at widest point, 4.2oz. Moderate fruit set. Subtle flavor, slightly sweet, thick flesh, not very crisp. Given to SSE by Joe Cavanaugh (NJ CA J) who received the variety from Kalman Lajvort of Edison, NJ. It's a Hungarian family heirloom from Kalman's family. SSE Accession # 117343
