Padron pepper. C. annuum. Typically harvested when green and immature; ~1-1.5" long. Often sautéed with olive oil and salt and eaten as tapas. Excellent flavor. Finished third in the 2015 HF pepper taste trials. Fruit turns red at maturity. Triangular, pendant fruit. Sunken at the stem end. Semi-wrinkled skin. Ripe fruit measure 3-3.5" long, 1.5-2" wide, and weigh 1-2ozs. Typically three lobes. Relatively thin walls. Plants reach 2-3ft tall. Erect, moderately branched plants with green leaves and purple nodes. White flowers. Mid-season maturing. Intermediate productivity when grown in 2015 at Heritage Farm. This variety was trialed in 2016 at the University of Wisconsin's West Madison Agricultural Research Station and had medium productivity and a Brix of 6.8 at harvest. SSE Accession # 116014
