Red. Semi-det., plants can reach 1.5 m height; sets fruit in cool temps. Best spring frost survival of 4 cool-weather varieties. Minskiy Ranniy in Russian, prob. developed at the Research Institute there, which is like Minnesota climate. Medium acid; traditionally canned whole. Fruits small but abundant. Also tolerates heat better than the other far Northern varieties tested.
