Bernie Biraki's

95 days to dry. Vigorous dual-purpose green and dry pole bean (8-10ft tall). Produce edible green and dry beans. Green beans when caught early are delicious and string free. Dry beans are tan/grey with dark brown stripes and mottling. 4-6 beans per pod. Highly productive. Seed produced in 2021. I was given these seeds in 2017 from my friend Steven who was given the seeds from Bernie Biraki (Chicago). Bernie shared the following note with the seeds: “Bernie Biraki’s pole green beans. From Ferfernitz, Austria or Slovenia, Yugoslavia. Brought to USA from Alois Tschampl (uncle), son of Rosalia Tschampl (Grandmother). 12-15 beans around 8’ to 10’ pole.”
