Three Hearted

Butterhead. Loosely heading. Light green, round leaves with some deep lobing at the base. Slight leaf blistering and undulation. Plants average 5" tall and 11" in diameter. Largest leaves average 5.2" long by 6.9" wide. Good texture. Standard flavor, slightly sweet. No bitterness. Mid-season maturing. White seeded. Donated to SSE by Arlene Sipe. Her grandmother originally received the variety in the early 1930s from a friend named Mrs. Elizabeth Fowley. SSE Accession # 111926
