VEGETABLES / PEPPER
HOT
Grown by Seed Savers Exchange member Daniel Brockett of Lower Burrell, PA in 2017 for the Citizen Science Corps program. Classic tabasco pepper (C. frutescens) fruit ripen from light green to orange/brown to red at maturity. Fruit is erect on the plants. Small fruit are 2 inches long and about 0.5 inches wide. These are very hot peppers but have a wonderful sweet after taste once the burn is gone! Skin is rather thin, but the flesh is dense and fruit are moderately juicy. Immature fruit started developing about 30 days after transplant. SSE Accession # 116364
