Summerfield

A very good tasting watermelon. Pink flesh is slightly stringy but juicy and sweet. Oblong fruit medium green with dark green longitudinal stripes and slight grooves. Fruit 7.7-10.5" long, 8-10.5" wide, and weighs 10-18.5 lbs. Fruit size is variable as some fruit are about half the size of other fruit. Thinner rind, 0.5-0.75" thick. Large amount of black dotted seeds. Late season maturing, moderate productivity, and highly disease resistant when grown in 2014 at Heritage Farm. SSE Accession # 127822
