Uniform planting. Dark green leaves have a highly lobed profile and wavy margins. Leaves have moderate blistering and curve slightly upward. Plants have light green stems. Plants 15-18 inches tall and 26-40 inches wide, and have above average heading capabilities. He began growing it in the early to mid-1970s and sells seeds and plants to local gardeners from his farm. In 2006, Frank gave seeds to Dr. John Morgan, a cultural geographer and professor of geography at Emory & Henry College, who was collecting heirloom collard strains for preservation on behalf of the USDA.
