Large, yellow-green leaves have a slightly wavy margin. White midvein. Narrow petioles. Open growth habit. Plants have a slight heading capability. Plants reach 13-24 inches tall and 25-38 inches wide when fall grown at Heritage Farm. Sweet, with a slightly sulphury aftertaste. Uniform variety. From Bud Dew of Tarboro, North Carolina. This variety came to Bud through his father, Tim Dew, who grew and saved seeds of it all his life. In 2005, Bud gave seeds to Dr. John Morgan, a cultural geographer and professor of geography at Emory & Henry College, who was collecting heirloom collard strains for preservation on behalf of the USDA. Seed Savers Exchange requested this variety in 2016 from the USDA collection (G 32750). SSE Accession # 133006
